Feb. 6th 2010 Team 211,responded to the Pennsylvania Turnpike to provide support to the Pennsylvania State Police and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission checking on the wellfare of motorists durning "The Blizzard 2010 " that brought 23+" of snow in 23 hours . Responding agencies: Westmoreland Rough-Terrain Team (Team 211), Pennsylvania State Police, PEMA,and Pennsylvania Turnpike Maintenance Crews.

Call 4 (Woods Fire-Slickville)
|
Sat. Apr 3rd 2010 Team 211 was dispatched into Loyalhanna Twp to assist firefighters during a large working woods fire that took over 4 hours to contain. When arriving on-scene, it was evident that the originally dispatched woods fire was raging out of control, and the hometown fire service was preparing to bring in more resources. Within the first hour 8 firefighters were being treated and transported for various smoke inhalation and exhaustion illnesses. Gator 610 was utilized to remove the majority of these patients from the rough-terrain areas. Responding agencies: Murrysville Medic One (Support 610, Gator 610, 610-a, 610-2, Medic 613, 610-T2), Westmoreland Team 211, Slickville VFD, LifeStat EMS, White Valley VFD, Washington Twp VFD, Forbes Road VFD, Bradenville VFD, Derry VFD, Export VFD, Saltsburg VFD, Blairsville VFD, Delmont VFD, Grandview VFD, Tunnelton VFD, Bell Twp VFD, Collinsburg VFD, Smithton VFD, Penn Twp Ambulance, Mutual Aid Ambulance, Oklahoma EMS, Lower Burrell EMS / ATV, Adamsburg ATV, New Kennsington EMS, and AK Pulser.

Team 211, responded to Mt Pleasant Twp to assist Kecksburg VFD with a search for an 81 year old male in a wooded area. After nearly 9 hours of searching throughout the night, the lost gentleman was returned to his family.
